36 seconds. Done. Fedor proved why pound-for-pound he’s the baddest most prolific fighter in MMA today and quite possibly of all time.

He put Tim Sylvia, who’s an adequate fighter and former UFC champ, away 36 seconds in the first round. He reminds me alot of Mike Tyson at his prime in boxing. Unlike Tyson, Fedor has a certain humility in his character which is great. Also, unlike Tyson, Fedor’s claim to fame was achieved by defeating several of the toughest opponents and champions in Pride between 2002-2006.

Tyson always had that monkey on his shoulder with critics claiming that he did not fight tough opponents during his climb to the top. However, Fedor proved his MMA prowess by beating the best of the best during that time, putting his stamp in MMA history.

Fedor’s only 31. He’s got alot left in his tank. Hopefully we will get to see him battle it out against Noguiera or Couture. Either or, it will be a great fight.
