Well, the boys definitely have plenty to cheer about. After the debacle from “Smoke Jumpers”, Vince took the boys back to where it all began, Queens. I guess Vince felt like he needed to get away from Hollywood to get his mind straight on what he needs to do next to get his career in order.
Ari and E tried desperately to land Vince another gig. They tried to put Vince in the next Gus Van Sant movie, but Gus turned him down. Fortunately, due to the diligence of E, Gus forwarded footage of Vince from “Smoke Jumpers” to Martin Scorsese. Martin ends up loving Vince’s act and decides to hire him as a lead for his next movie.
All’s well that ends well right? Well, we will have to wait until next year to see how this new gig pans out for Vince. Damn, another whole year?
EXTRA:
So while in Queen’s, Drama got to talking with Ron about buying a local bar to save it from being shut down. Drama refuses Ron’s pitch until he puts in the fact that Drama can change the name of the bar to “Johnny Drama’s”. That sold it.
Now, in the bar, there’s a peculiar sign that you might not notice at first glance. Take a look at the pic:

Now, you might think McSurley’s is another Irish beer. However, if Doug Ellin is a Batman fan, or fanatic for that matter, McSurley’s is actually a bar in Gotham City where Batman gets the lowdown of what’s going on in the underworld.

“Last Call at McSurley’s” was published in the “Batman: Black and White vol. 3″ issue in 1996. The story was later republished in “Batman: Gotham Knights #25″. Here’s the cover for this issue:

The story talks about how Bruce Wayne mysteriously donated tens of thousands of dollars to keep McSurley’s from closing due to unpaid taxes by the owner Mr. M McSurley.
So, if by a slim chance you’re reading this Doug, let the reader’s know if I’m right.
