For those who haven’t seen the trailers to this game, you’ve been missing out.

Set to release on Sept. 16th, The Force Unleashed puts you as a “secret apprentice” of Darth Vader in the start of the game. As Vader’s apprentice, you help him fulfill designated missions generally killing Jedi’s in his path. In the end of the game, you can either choose to remain with the Darkside or to rebel against it and fight for the Jedi. Wonder how this will play out.

Yep. You heard it right. Anheuser-Busch agreed to a cool $52 billion buyout from Belgian Brewer InBev.

In case you didn’t know, InBev is responsible for such popular beers as Stella Artois and Beck’s just to name a few. After the buyout, the official name of this corporate merger will be Anheuser-Busch InBev Co.

That’s just sad. First Tibet, then the controversy with dog meat, and now this.

You cannot say they are nitpicking on China when you are the host of the Olympics. That automatically puts you under the spotlight and/or microscope of the world to nitpick your culture, government, etc. I am not saying it’s right. But the scrutiny is expected if you are hosting such a huge event.

I’m sure the Chinese government is working diligently to clean things up. But do you honestly think a culture can pull a 180 within several months. I highly doubt it. Let’s hope that the changes continually persist after the games because after all, we are talking about people’s lives, much bigger then any game or competition.

Here’s a review of the upcoming Batman “The Dark Knight” movie

Sadly, I didn’t have the chance to get a sneak peek of the movie. But here’s the review of a well respected director/writer/”silent” actor Kevin Smith on his blog about the “The Dark Knight”:

“Courtesy of Peter Sciretta over at SlashFilm.com, I caught an early screening of ‘The Dark Knight’ yesterday evening.

Without giving anything away, this is an epic film (and trust me: based on the sheer size and scope of the visuals and storytelling, that’s not an overstatement). It’s the “Godfather II” of comic book films and three times more earnest than “Batman Begins” (and fuck, was that an earnest film). Easily the most adult comic book film ever made. Heath Ledger didn’t so much give a performance as he disappeared completely into the role; I know I’m not the first to suggest this, but he’ll likely get at least an Oscar nod (if not the win) for Best Supporting Actor. Fucking flick’s nearly three hours long and only leaves you wanting more (in a great way). I can’t imagine anyone being disappointed by it. Nolan and crew have created something close to a masterpiece.”

Obama vs. McCain. Now is Ice-T vs. Souljah Boy? Why do we Americans always have to choose a “side” for everything…

I understand where Ice-T is coming from be it that I grew up listening to NWA, Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Eric B & Rakim, man the list goes on. Hip Hop was straight up real talk about street life. Hustlin, slangin, doing whatever it takes to get by. Just hoping one day you go from rags to riches. That to me was, and still is Hip Hop.

On the other hand, Souljah has a point too. If you feel something needs to be done about resurrecting the state of Hip Hop, then do something. Educate the youth about hip hop. Right now, maybe hip hop has progressed to what Souljah is doing. Maybe the climate has changed to where hip hop is not just always about surviving in the streets.

I know that KRS-One along with Talib Kweli and many others are working on “Operation Take Hip Hop Back” produced by Craig G and Marley Marl.

The tracks on this album brings it all back to what hip hop was which is definitely lacking in today’s music industry. At least they are putting down tracks to let the youngsters know what hip hop was about back in the day and quite possibly what it still should be.

So instead of calling each other out and going n**** this and n**** that, do something positive to show hip hop fans old and new what’s really hot. Make some damn good music! Real talk.
